GBM4 Sheffield Survivor NEEDS to SUPPORT fellow GBM4 patients through individual, or group SUPPORT. I understand how helpful it is for people going through life issues to find a space where they can build connections with others who understand exactly what they’re experiencing. “LIFE”...... we are all different. We need to find our best journey possible. My goal as a GBM4 Brain Tumour patient since 10/9/17 is to SUPPORT other GBM4 patients and family members. How? By talking. I did Psychology Bsc, MBA, and have worked in hospitals for 18 years. I am lucky, and still have some ideas about “LIFE”, which changes daily.

LEARNING TO COPE
The reaction to being told you have cancer will be different throughout everyone, why? We are all different. We react in different ways depending on our brain and mind. Medicine is big to manage cancer, however, there are countless options to fight cancer. I am ALIVE, GBM4 patients or family ask me questions..... I’m certainly no expert, just a lucky proud Sheffield geezer (live down south...)
UNDERSTANDING YOUR EMOTIONS
Emotion is UNIQUE. Life can feel as though cancer patients have been thrown into a washing machine, spun clean and then thrown into the dryer. Emotion will be difficult to manage all the time, talk, talk, talk....
THE IMPORTANCE OF HUMAN CONNECTION
It is essential to communicate, support, love, question, understand more, research and most importantly connect the right people at the right time
